MEET SIMONE
Simone De Alba is an Emmy award winning journalist currently working as an Evening Anchor in Texas.
During her time in San Antonio, she's been on the frontlines of Texas politics; holding leaders accountable and getting answers. She was among the first journalists on scene during the massacre in Uvalde, providing wall to wall broadcast coverage for hours. She was also among the team helping the community navigate the deadly winter storm in 2021.
Prior to the Lone Star state Simone was in Sacramento, California working as a Morning News Anchor and reporter. She holds multiple degrees in Political Science and Journalism from the University of Colorado at Boulder and Metropolitan State University.
Simone began her career working as a multimedia Anchor and Reporter in Great Falls, Montana. She later became the only Statewide News Anchor in Billings where she was a reporter, anchor, and producer. From reporting on a local level to the national stage with an appearance on CNN, she has told stories that impacted the national discourse, proving herself a dynamic and focused journalist.
From the Big Sky State of Montana she came to her current home in Sacramento. Living in the Capitol of California put her on the forefront of politics, social issues, and the most devastating wildfires in state history.
A Colorado native, you can find Simone racing ultra marathons, hiking trails with her beloved shepherd, Casper or traveling.
For Simone, journalism is a means of serving. Naturally curious, inquisitive, and tenacious, she thrives under breaking news coverage. Equal parts steel and empathy, she has a unique ability to gather and process facts, while also understanding why it matters to you and connecting with audiences from all backgrounds.
